About Suzie Heller
Suzie was born into the COCOPAH INDIAN TRIBE near Somerton, Arizona in 1967. Throughout her childhood, she was taught the true art of quality and patience in her sewing and bead work by her Grandfather. When he passed on, Suzie cut her ankle length hair out of respect (a tribal custom) and carried on the disciplined artistry of her culture. During her later years, she developed the fine art of dream making, where her use of colors and design became recognized as cutting edge contemporary and unique. Every piece is first visualized, hand sewn, then displayed.
When Suzie travels coast-to-coast, she has the ability to display her positive and perfectionist style, and make new relationships along the way. While she is consistently making jewelry and designing pieces, her web-site is now her avenue for advertizing her expertise and allowing her work to again be viewed nationally and internationally. During her life, Suzie's vast successes have been: Radio Talent Personality, Pastry Chef, jewelry boutique owner, hot-rod enthusiast, motorcyclist, cat lover, cultural tattoo collector, and professional artist. Never limited by design, Suzie works with a complete color palette, a large repertoire of all natural media (no plastics or synthetics) including leathers, stones, bone, horn, fossils, and a vast and diverse collection of cataloged raw supplies.
Sales of her bead work has been to all 50 states, the UK, Russia, Poland, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa. She has also sold to fine jewelry stores and Native American Art Stores in the USA.
